Laser Branded Cowhide Western Brands, Logos, & Artwork
All of our frames start out just like this.
We are a family business & we make western cowboy art that highlights the importance of traditions. Our cedar frames and laser branded cowhide poems are a labor of love and it shows. Most of the poetry was written by Don Bishop, with some new additions by Andrew Ryerson. Art/Illustrations are Justin Wells, Jack Wells, and Stephanie Valencia. Day to day business is managed by Tim Vaughan and his team.
First the cedar logs go through our scrag mill and are turned into square beams.
The square beams are then sized on a band saw and run through the Pendu which turns them into our 2x4s.
The 2x4s are stacked and stickered to give them breathing room to dry properly before moving to the next step.
We then run the 2x4s through our moulder creating the trim and frame shape you can see on the frames.
The trim, after it comes off the moulder, now has the frame shape.
Then it's off to another barn where we cut and build the frames to our standard sizes.
