About Old West Cedarmill
All of our frames start out just like this.
History
Old West Cedarmill was started by Don & Lisa Bishop in the late 90s, their son Tim Vaughan has also been a part of the business in some way for most of his life. In 2024 Don and Lisa decided to become full time grandparents and the business passed to the next generation. Tim Vaughan continues the family traditions with family of his own.
Don Bishop passed in early 2026. He is dearly missed but his legacy lives on through his art and his poetry. He was also a pilot for the US Air Force and Southwest Airlines.

Family Business - Family Values
We are a family business & we make western cowboy art that highlights the importance of traditions. Our cedar frames and laser branded cowhide poems are a labor of love and it shows. Each piece is handmade and one of a kind. Most of the poetry was written by Don Bishop, with some new additions by Andrew Ryerson. Art/Illustrations are Justin Wells, Jack Wells, and Stephanie Valencia. Day to day business is managed by Tim Vaughan.
